  How to use Instagram easy steps for beginners 

 

step-by-step guide to using Instagram for beginners:





    1. Download the Instagram App

  • Now open  App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android).
  • Search for Instagram and tap Download or Install app. 


    2. Create an Account

  • Once you Instagram app downloaded in to your phone go to its logo and open the app.
  • Tap Sign up:
    • Use your email, phone number, or log in with Facebook.
  • Create a username you like and make a password.
  • Now your profile will be open .
  • Add your profile picture, bio, you can also connect with Facebook friends.

  • How to set a profile picture                                      

  • Locate your profile icon (usually a circle with your initials or a default avatar).
  • Tap or click on it.
  • Then click on choose from library.
  • Choose the picture you like click on it then click Done. Your profile picture will be set.


     3. Explore the Home Screen

  •  Home: See posts from people you follow.
  •  Search: Explore content and find people or hashtags. You can also search anything you want.
  •  Post: Share photos, videos, or stories.
  • If you want to post pictures or videos, you have to find the + sign showing in the middle of your feed. You have to click on it.
  • Your gallery pictures will be shown then select the picture or video of your choice then click next. 
  • If you want to edit it you can if not click next, there will an option if you want to put a caption if yes put a Caption you like then click on share . Your pictures or videos will be shared.
  •  Notifications: See likes, comments, and follows. 
  • If you want to see notification you can see a heart in right corner click on it. You will get all the notifications there.
  •  Profile: Your own page with posts, bio, and settings.


    4. Follow People

  • Tap the search icon, type a name or topic.
  • Tap Follow to subscribe to their content.


    5. Post a Photo or Video

  • Tap the ➕ (plus icon).
  • Choose Post, Story, Reel, or Live.
  • Select a photo/video from your phone or take one.
  • Add a caption, filters, and location (optional).
  • Tap Share.


    6. Like, Comment, and Share

  • Double-tap a photo to like.
  • Tap the comment icon to reply or ask something.
  • Use the paper airplane icon to send it to someone in a direct message.


7. Create a Story

  • Tap your profile picture at the top left or the ➕ icon > Story.
  • Take or upload a photo/video.
  • Add stickers, text, or music.
  • Tap Your Story to share it for 24 hours.


   8. Check Messages

  • Tap the paper plane icon (top right) to view or send Direct Messages (DMs).



    9. Adjust Privacy Settings

  • Go to your profile > tap ☰ (top right) > Settings and privacy.
  • Choose Private account if you want to control who sees your posts.
  • Manage notifications, blocked users, and more.


   10. Stay Safe

  • Don’t share personal info publicly.
  • Block or report users who behave inappropriately.
